    Going to an expensive art college does not mean you’ll make anything you like; tuition cost (and how high it is) has nothing to do with promises of GREAT work. That is totally and utterly up to you.

    Just don’t fucking bother making assumptions before you’ve even spent a semester at college. Find everything out for yourself, because all the rumors and all the ‘facts’ you hear on the internet and from others are nothing compared to your actual experience.
    So just forget everything you heard and shut the fuck up, you excited little freshman. Welcome to RISD.

    I’m black at risd, and I don’t concern myself with that. If it bothers you enough that it distracts you, stop asking questions and try doing something about it. I’m here to get a well rounded art education, and so far I’m succeeding. You won’t even notice if you are putting you thoughts and energy into your work and friends.

    What does it matter? We are all people.

• I have decided to stop giving a damn about my work at RISD, and start living for once. There will be plenty of time in my life to produce work I like without feeling miserable. MLIA.

    For some reason, the RISD QSA is NOT where the RISD lesbians are at.
    And also major laughs at the fact that at RISD, not only can’t girls find boys, but girls can’t find girls. Oh, the horror.

• I finally met a great guy at RISD. He’s attractive, has a great personality, and actually maintains a high level of personal hygiene. Too bad he’s graduating in 2 weeks. FML
